New Nirvana Book to be Released in July

Fresh off the press, author Gillian G. Gaar is to release a book on Nirvana; Entertain Us: The Rise of Nirvana.  The book has little to none media attention as of yet, but the author herself has a well established name within the music journalism area.  Gaar has previously released books on Nirvana titled In Utero and Treasures of Nirvana.

Along with her knowledge of Nirvana, Gaar has published such books as "She's a Rebel: The Histroy of Women in Rock and Roll" with the help of John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono.  She has also books on Elvis and Green Day.

So what do you think? Just another Nirvana book telling us the same story us Nirvana fans know? With other books on Nirvana under her belt, I have reason to believe she knows her stuff; or else she's really just a massive fan, like myself.

Who knows, could be an excellent book.  She'll be competing alongside Hole guitarist, Eric Erlandson, who had a friendship with Cobain before his death in 1994. Letters to Kurt is available now.

Entertain Us: The Rise of Nirvana is set to be released in July.
You can buy Gillian's other book on Nirvana, The Rough Guide To Nirvana on Amazon here.

Jane Marczewski Review

'Climate' is a fabulous song by Ohio native, Jane Marczewski.  Jane provides gentle acoustic melodies with kicking vocals.  I don't think I will ever stop listening to this song.  This little lady took me by surprise with her songs 'Abraham' and 'Anyone Else'.  Lyrics go by the quintessential love song, but nothing cheesy; it feels genuine, sincere; something hard come by.  I will be looking out for Ms. Marczewski in the future, she will be huge.

News of the World: Where I've Been

You’ll have to excuse me for this delay, as I have been studying… Oh okay, I’ve simply been busy with zero study done for my oral exams and the big LC. But I do have news, I might add. Exciting news that I think is relevant to you, my readers...

On Thursday the 22nd, I got offered my place in Rathmines College (Dublin) in their course Journalism & Public Relations! Can you believe it?! All I have to do is get five passes in my exams, hence why I am being so chill lately.  Pretty chuffed.  I also have an interview for Stillorgan College (Dublin) coming up in may for another Journalism course.  Wish me luck!

How did I manage to get the place?  With a little help from my blog and a music review I wrote for a magazine.. YES. A magazine!  I wrote this a while back, and my interviewer was extremely impressed! I wrote it for Irelands own U Magazine, a fashion and gossip magazine. A once off opportunity, but I am delighted to have that to my name.  (Worst album I've ever listened to in my life, I might add).I am also moving to Dublin now that I got my course.  I cannot wait!  And guess what that means?  No dodgy internet which ultimately means easy-breezy blogs.  And frequent ones too!

I truly am sorry for the recent shut down around here.  Is it me or are there tumble-weeds floating about here?  But I am afraid it will only get even quieter from here on in now that I am approximately ten weeks away from my exams!!  I have a whole summer to supply you with so many blog posts to make up for now.

Don’t hate me; I love you x
